Indian Motorcycle has unveiled its luxurious Roadmaster Elite motorcycle for 2019 which comes in a new paint scheme, 24-karat gold badging and other new features.
The American bike manufacturer has revealed its 2019 Edition of the uber-luxurious Roadmaster Elite motorcycle. This year’s edition is just limited to 200 units available globally. Some of the treatments that this year’s edition gets are:
- New red and Black paint as compared to the Wildfire red Candy over Black crystal paint scheme in 2018
- 24-karat badging, which is a standout feature
Other features include the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the standard variant, Bluettoth connectivity that helps with navigation and radio. As for the audio system is concerned, the 2019 edition gets a 600W unit, which is 300W more than the 2018 model. Other embellishments include leather passenger armrests, billet aluminium floorboards and mirrors, full LED lighting, heated handgrips, keyless ignition, power windshield, weatherproof remote-locking saddlebags and more.
The 2019 variant continues to host the 1811cc ‘Thunder Stroke 111’V-Twin engine that makes out 151Nm of peak torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The cylinder deviation technology present in the twin motor helps in shutting the rear cylinder, in case the ambient temperature exceeds 15 degree Celsius, while the motorcycle is in a standstill position. The lower end of the motorcycle is designed in such a way that it takes direct heat away from the riders.
Additionally, users can opt in for performance accessories, such as high flow air intake, performance cams and a Stage 1 exhaust. There are 3 modes on the motorcycle – Tour, Standard and Sport. In terms of pricing, the 2018 model was priced at approx. 50 lakh(ex-showroom) and we expect the 2019 model to bear a similar price. The 2018 model did make its way into India and we expect that the 2019 model too will reach the Indian shores. In India, it faces competition from the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited and Honda Gold Wing.
