With a lot of excitement, Aprilia has unveiled its RS 660 superbike at the #EICMA 2019 with a Euro 5 compliant engine.
The new superbike comes with an updated electronics package, which adds to the excitement of the supersport motorcycle segment. The Aprilia RS 660 has a design, which is inspired from the RSV4, and gets a double fairing that helps the bike stay stable at high speeds. Includes the following features:
- LED lighting with DRLs
- Self-cancelling turn indicators and cornering lights
- 5-inch full color TFT dashboard
- Smartphone connectivity
In addition, the new motorcycle also gets traction control, 5 riding modes – out of which 3 are for street riding and 2 for track riding, wheelie control, cornering ABS, standard cruise control, up/down quickshifter and engine braking system. With a curb weight of 168kgs, when dry, the superbike makes use of a new twin-spar aluminium frame and also features an aluminium swingarm. In terms of front suspension, there is a fully adjustable 41mm Kayaba fork, Brembo calipers for braking and dual 320mm discs on the front wheel.
Powering the supersport motorcycle is an all-new 660cc, Euro 5 compliant parallel-twin engine that churns out 100hp. More details of the powertrain are yet to be released, so stay tuned as we share more on the details and the pricing.
