Renault India finally has a date for the launch of its 7-seater MPV, the Triber. The sub-4m car will be launched in the country on August 28, while bookings will open from August 17.
If you were waiting for the all-new 7-seater from Renault to launch in India, then there’s good news. The MPV can now be booked online or at dealerships for an amount of INR 11,000 from August 17. The car manufacturer has already started rolling out the cars to all its dealerships across the country.
The all-new Triber is based on the CMF-A platform, on which the manufacturer’s Kwid is based. With a wheelbase of 2636mm, the Triber measures 3990mm in length, 1643mm in height and 1739 in width. Instead of calling the 7-seater a MPV, Renault defines it as a premium hatchback, but with a twist. The twist lies in the fact that the third row seats can easily be removed or folded, as per the requirements, thereby making the car a 5-seater or 6-seater or even a 4-seater. In addition, the second row too gets a sliding function, segment’s first, for better convenience.
When it comes to the features, the new 7-seater comes loaded with features like LED DRLs, chrome details on the exterior, alloy wheels and projector headlamps. Coming to the interiors, the cabin gets a 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with features like navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Under the hood is a 1.0-litre petrol engine that makes 72hp and 96Nm of torque.
Expected price range: 4.7 lakhs going up to 7.5 lakhs for the top-spec trim. Let us know in the comments if you feel the pricing is apt or should it be more competitive.
