The all-new G plus Trim of the Toyota Innova Crysta has been launched in the country and is available in 7 and 8-seater options, but misses out on a few of the features.
Toyota has launched a new-entry level model of its popular selling Innova Crysta MPV, called the G Plus Trim, and is available only with the diesel engine. Priced at INR 15.57 lakh for the 7-seater variant and INR 15.62 lakh for the 8-seater variant, all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The new variant is approx. INR 38,000 costlier than the previous GX trim, but includes just the basic features and will be available on a made-to-order basis for all.
There are a number of features packed in the new trim. Let’s take a look at what’s included.
- Dual Airbags
- Parking sensors
- HVAC unit with vents for all 3-rows
- Halogen headlamps as compared to the LED lights on the top-end trims
- 16-inch alloy wheels as compared to the 17-inch ones on the higher trims
The newly launched G Plus trim misses out on a number of features, too. Let’s look at what all it does not include:
- Music system
- Rear defogger
- Center Armrest in the 2nd-row, in the 8-seater variant
- The trim does not get the popular red and pearl while color options to keep the costs in check.
With this the company is aiming to make the Innova Crysta an attractive deal for the users, but it faces stiff competition with the likes of the Mahindra Marazzo and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. But, with the immense popularity of the Innova amidst fleet operators, the new trim is bound to get noticed.
Coming to the power options, the Toyota Innova Crysta G Plus trim gets no changes under the hood. It continues to be powered with the 2.4-litre 4-cylinder diesel engine, which is tuned to produce 148bhp and 343Nm of torque. Users can purchase the newly launched trim, as Toyota has opened the bookings for the same.
